American Idol watch out: Sister Cities Call Backs are amazing!

Hi all--we had an amazing turn out for the Sister Cities/Shiloh Rules auditions. The show will run at The University of Kansas at the end of June. I will post ticket information and show times soon. My colleague, Mechele Leon is directing a sister project that will open after Sister Cities entitled Shiloh Rules, a hilarious play about Civil War reenactors learning their craft in the midst of a fake battle. The play is written by Doris Baizley, another California playwright.

I emailed Colette Freedman about casting and she is very excited that the show will go up in the Midwest after successul runs in Los Angeles, NYC, Seattle, Edinburugh, and a few others I am sure I am missing. Colette Freedman is a longtime sister-friend. We co-founded (the now defunct) Mountaintop Players Ensemble in Los Angeles. This is a great turn in my career as an actor/director/scholar to be able to direct this show. Stay tuned until tomorrow when we find out who will play the roles of AUSTIN, DALLAS, CAROLINA, BALTIMORE and MARY.
